Morning Sky on Campus

The morning skies just now are very surprising to me. I don't know if it's the smoke from far away or if it's just the time, of year, but the morning skies have been amazing. I took this photo yesterday morning when I got out of my car at work. The sky was just too pretty not to try to get a shot. I just managed to get a shot between buildings yet still include some of our wonderful old trees - well some of them are old....

Friday People: This photo was taken some years ago while our kids were younger and we went to the local minor-league games. As I recall, we were with a scout group with our youngest and it was "scout night" and we could go for free - so we did. We sat behind home plate and this was my favorite shot with the ball in motion from the pitcher. It says "baseball".

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.
