Bold Colors at Sunset Photo of the Day 261/365 I always try to get very pretty sunsets, and there are many times when the colors change minute by minute. The shots even look similar sometimes, but because I took a pause to move a little, the colors change. This is one of those cases. The colors were beautiful and much softer on my first shots, but they changed as the sun sank lower, and I like all the shots I got that evening.

Fall is Coming Soon Photo of the Day 260/365 To be truthful, I found this photo on a memory card that was left in a camera that I took for the purpose of recycling. In the end, I did not recycle the camera, but cleaned it up and sold it. However, I took the memory card out, as I always do, and look at the photos. If there are any photos of people, I usually delete them and examine any landscapes and use them. I could have taken this photo as I know where it was taken and it is at an angle that I have shot at before, but I have to be honest about it - not mine - but I don't know whose it was.

Sun Tell Us Good-Night Photo of the Day 259/365 Last evening, I took the dog out for a walk and found that the time was right for a short sunset walk, I put the dog inside and took a brief ten-minute jaunt to the neighbor's farm. I found that due to the changing seasons, the sun's position on the horizon had moved, and the sun was setting on a small hill. As the sun sank, I could only think that it was telling us good night.

Sunset over the Hills and Branches Photo of the Day 258/365 This photo was taken a few evenings ago while out on my usual sunset walk. I am still striving to find new compositions and views. This view was found in a normal spot, but seen over my shoulder while walking back. This tree was in the right spot so I could use it for this photo with the far hills and the sunset.

Barn in the Morning Sunshine Photo of the Day 257/365 We had to go up to my father-in-law's hometown last week. We went through multiple areas of dense fog followed by short bursts of morning sunshine where the fog had lifted. We were driving past this barn, which I've photographed before, and this day it was in the sunshine. I decided to try to grab a shot as it may be one of the last times we drive by. This photo was the result.

Grassy Sunset Photo of the Day 256/365 This photo was taken a few days ago. I saw the sky and just could not pass it up. I went into the neighbor's field and tried to find a spot without construction equipment for the upcoming development. I found a way to get low enough to show the grass, make it work, and really enjoy how it came out.
