Sunset by the Tree

Photo of the Day 93/366

I took this photo two days ago on Easter Sunday. I saw a glow from the front window and asked my company to "wait for a bit" while I ran out to try to catch the sunset. They waited and I ran down the road and managed to capture this image before the sun disappeared. Time never seems to agree with me that I need to plan out when I try for sunsets - the good ones seem to be happenstance and I have to run. I'd like to capture them at different locations - maybe someday.

I captured this image while at a local Auto Show this past year. This gent had apparently had enough of the day and fell asleep at his station. No one bothered him and the noise of the show didn't seem to affect him either. I felt bad for him - he was an older gent and we were at the last of 3 days so it was tiring.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
