Sun Setting between the Trees

Photo of the Day 179/366

I took this photo earlier this week while waiting for my wife after taking my father-in-law back to his room. It is amazing how the sunset changes in a few moments. This photo was taken perhaps 10 minutes before yesterday's photo and the skies look so vastly different. Nature's paintbrush and palette are amazing.

This photo, from my archives was taken in the office building where I used to work. The building I worked in was built to house the government agency I worked for, so there were a number details that were included to suit our agency's purpose - the Environment. Our skylights were one of those features as they let in the daylight and lessened the need for the lights to be on in the hallway much of the day. I liked the patterns and the details of the building.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
