 Late afternoon sun reflecting on Eagle Lake


 

 

On our first day of vacation, we stopped by Eagle Lake even before we made it into our cottage. The scene was so warm and welcoming that we had to stop. I took a number of photos but this one was my wife's favorite. She loved the wat the reflection was framed by that tree branches. I have to agree that it's a keeper.

Trees, trees and more trees

I shot this photo while visiting a local winery a few weeks ago. I've been considering posting it but today, it seemed right. The trees seemed to go on and on. The one tree in the center just seemed to catch my eye among the others and is framed just right.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
