Farm and Setting Sun

 I requested that we go out for a drive last evening, because I felt we had a chance for a nice sunset. We got our family into the car and off we went. We drove many back roads and were in awe of the sky, clouds and setting sun. I specifically asked for a number of stops (which you'll likely see over the coming days) and this is one of my favorites for the evening. You can see the daylight still on the barn and the sun just about  dip below the horizon. The sky colors were amazing. I did no editing to this - this is what my iPhone recorded and it was VERY close to the view I saw.

Sunday: Nature

In our immediate area, we have a property that has an area that servers as training and competition for horses. Across the road, they own or board horses.  Many times, when we walk by,there are horses out to in the pasture. The day I took this, there was one standing by himself in the sun, just munching away. I grabbed this photo before he turned away.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
