Sunset Across the Neighborhood



I took the photo this past weekend. I couldn't decide when to post it. The sun setting against the streaks of clouds in the blue sky made for a very pretty sunset. The neighbor's tree added a bit of interest to the scene as well. The day after I took it, it tied (in my mind) for the the shot that I posted. I hope you enjoy this scene as much as I did.

I'm always up for trying different apps and settings on my iPhone and this was the result of an experiment some time ago. I kept it around because I found it interesting - not great - but interesting. I thought this a good opportunity to share.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
