Wild Autumn Sunset Sky

This photo taken last evening was an adventure. I saw the sky and my wife, who was driving, was not having a great day and I didn't wan to be a bother - but after a few minutes, I said "yes".  We had to drive about 2-3 miles to get back to a good spot - but it was worth it.  I hope the vet's office didn't mind us using their parking lot to get this photo.

This photo was taken a couple of days ago. This view shows the mist rising behind the pine trees. Although I used a similar view in my "Photo of the Day" post, I really liked this view, too, as it is framed by the foreground trees. The sky was clear, but cool, as our autumns are supposed to be. But the scene was peaceful and serene.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
