 Tiny Rays of Sunlight
Just Before the Dawn

This photo, taken last week, on they way to work. As we get on through the Autumn, the sunrises get later and later and I miss most of the actual sunrises - until we (in the USA) reinstate daylight savings time - then I get to see them again. However, this time the small rays of sunlight were hitting the clouds just right to make the clouds appear to be on fire.

This photo, taken at my work reminded me of a conversation our family had. We could not remember so many roses, in so many colors, so late in the year. I think they just don't remember previous years, but there do seem to be an inordinate amount of them this year.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
