Autumn Sunshine down the Valley

This photo taken a few weeks ago on our mini-vacation was the result of exploring beyond the norm.  Most folks go on a Covered Bridge Tour and only look at the bridges.  In Pennsylvania, most look the same and I look for what's across the bridge, especially those that aren't driven on. This was one of those views.

This photo is my neighbor's fence, just on the other side of my driveway. I happened to look when I went out for a drive and wanted to capture the view with the autumn colors and the old split-rail fence that they have. The remains of an old garden fence in the shadows adds to the autumn mood, for me.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
