Autumn on the Farm

This photo was taken on our mini-vacation about 3 weeks ago. This was another scene from "over the bridge" where I walked across the bridge to see what was on the other side. This very neat and tidy farm was visible - it was facing the bridge, although the road that was usable was now on the other side of the farm. The dirt lane in the foreground is only for walking and farm vehicles, now.

I took this shot while walking around in my backyard. The different sizes of the leaves intrigued me as  I just meandered in the yard. There are woods behind our house with many different trees there which explains the different leaves. The large leaf is about the size of my head. Nature provides for variations, that's for sure.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
