Rowboat, River, and City Skyline

I took this photo this past weekend. My youngest asked if I had take any photos in this one town and I hadn't.  So, we decided to run over and walk around a bit to see what was possible. We had to cross a major highway (no crosswalk) but we managed to find a path down to the river.  At the end of that path was a little setup with a fire pit, some chairs, and this rowboat.  I found the whole thing quite an interesting find and decided to take a photo of the boat with the skyline.

I took this photo last evening at the home of our oldest child. He was changing the oil in my wife's car before a long roadtrip (you'll see later in the week). The sun was setting and the leaves of one of his bushes caught my eye.  The leaves were still yellow and I hoped that I could get a "portrait mode" shot with my iPhone and still catch the sunset glow.  I believe this show was the best.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
