Tall Grass Just before the Dawn

I took this photo yesterday morning. I had seen some color as I pulled out of the driveway and was heading to work. I found a spot that was safe to pull over and walked bit to find different locations to shoot. I saw the grass swinging in the breeze and when it settled - got this shot. I liked it a lot.

Wednesday Minimalism

This shot was taken years ago, likely along the coast of New Jersey. The photo captured three gulls and it was not a composite. I got very lucky. I've held this one for some time without a venue to post it. I normally like to print my landscapes, but wanted to show this one and minimalism it is.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
