Cold Blue Day on Cape Cod
National Seashore

I took this photo over the Thanksgiving holiday and it epitomizes the ocean scenery for me. The sand, the clear blue sky, the sea grass, and the gulls in the water - all come together to make it a classic beach scene. I will remember this past trip for quite some time. I will go back, hopefully when it's a bit warmer, though.

This photo was pulled from my archives. It was taken during an informal meeting of our Computing Services team and this gent, a consultant and friend of mine, at the time, just seemed to be wondering what was next for him and for us. It also reminds me how much life has changed since then...now we know what was next.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
