Spotty Sunset Clouds

I took this photo from the car earlier in the week. I literally stopped the car and shot this from my driver's seat through the windshield. I was running late for my class, but the sunset was so pretty, I HAD to try at least one shot. I pulled to the side of the road and just took the shot - and this was the result.

This photo was taken on our Yuletide Tour of Winterthur. This show was in their museum gallery and is the staircase leading to the second floor gallery. This photo took some time to wait until no one was around to get the shot. I waited for 5-10 minutes until I got a clear spot.  I've tried shot before to no avail because there were just too many people, but this time it worked out.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
