Clouds Trying to Hide the Setting Sun

The sun was setting and I had to run an errand with one of my kids. While my offspring went into the store, I endeavored to find a way t get a shot in the parking lot. This is what I arrived at. It took some editing, but this image is representative of the sky I saw. The variance of colors and the hidden sun make this a good shot to me.

This photo was taken a number of years ago when I had just opened my old photo studio. I was just getting it set up and pulled out a toy I had played with in my youth.  It was an antique even then and that was 50+ years ago. The toy worked and we set it off across a display case and this is where it came to rest. I still have that toy and it still works. It still a cool toy.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
