Trees Reaching into the Sunset Sky

I shot this photo last evening on the way home from a quick (frustrating) trip to the store. I saw the sky at the store and there was really no place to get a shot. I actually missed the setting sun standing in line at the store. However, on the way home, I was able to find a couple of stops where I could catch the sky. Here's one of the shots.

This photo was taken a couple of months ago at the very beginning of winter. The day was damp and cold and the storms came and went. My child and I decided to chance it an take a walk between showers and this view is what I could find on our walk The old farm road led up the hill and the next storm was coming.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
