Sweeping Clouds Reflecting the Sunset

I shot this photo 2 nights ago on the way home from shopping. The sun had set and I was working to find some pretty shots. As I've been told in the past, when you see a sunset or sunrise, turn around.  This is what I saw when I  turned around. The colors in the sweeping clouds, just after the sunset was amazing.

I shot this photo a last weekend and managed to be up and saw the sun rising through the trees. I had two shots that I liked - this one wiht the trees that seemed to be bending towards the sunrise or the other where there was more sky in the photo. T think they are both beautiful in their own right. But this one is more towards the "nature" subject.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
