Sunset and Lonely Trees

This photo was taken a few weeks ago before the recent snows. I looked back through some of my photos and had missed this one, somehow. I remember that the sun was just setting and I could not get a clear shot of it. The clouds were great by not the view, so I decided to shoot through the trees and here's the result.

This photo was taken last weekend at a local auto show. I was with my son and his wife. I was also trying out a new camera that I purchased (Fuji x100F) and got down low for this one. I really like how the vehicle is almost perfectly symmetrical and the red just made it pop for me. The angle almost makes it look like it's smiling.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
