Sunrise Sky at the Farm

Yesterday morning, the sky way glorious. As I was driving to work, I noticed the sky getting redder and stopped a few places to capture the different places I passed. This photo was from the last stop. I've shot this spot before, but yesterday, t he clouds lit up the sky, the hills were blue with morning light, and the fence and tree just made this right for me.

This photo popped up in my archives and I thought that it fit the bill for the "forms" theme. I have printed a much larger version of this photo and like it. It was taken, as I remember, at Cape May, New Jersey, in the lighthouse there. I always enjoy the ocean and maybe I'll be back there someday.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
