Sunset over the Hills and Watery Fields

Photo of the Day 58/366

I took this photo this past weekend while out on one of my "sunset walks". I was out with my youngest and I was clear that I'd likely stop often to take photos. I did and this one was on the way back. I happened past an intersection where the snow had been piled up and was recently melted. With the sunset, it was a winner.

This show was taken many years ago. It was taken with one of my very first digital cameras. Back in the day, when my kids were little, I had more mental freedom to go out and take photos of whatever caught my eye. Somehow, as I've aged, I've lost some of that and am striving to get it back.  I do love the colors in and the textures.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
