Sun Breaking through a Dark Morning Sky

Photo of the Day 70/366

I took this photo a few days ago, of course, on the way to work. Hopefully, with the change (today) to Daylight Savings Time, I may see more sunsets again soon.  It all evens out in the end. I thought this one was really neat beacause when the sun broke through, the path between the trees seemed to light up, too. It didn't last very long and I was at the right place at the right time. I god lucky / blessed for this one.

I took this photo, in the rain, outside of a restaurant, yesterday, in Gettysburg, PA. While I've seen shoots coming up and even the yellow buds starting to come out, this is the first time, this year, that I've seen the actual flowers in bloom.  I got a little wet taking this shot (I took 3 trying to make them the main subject), but I won't complain - it was worth it. I hope your spring season is welcome and that the blooms of the season make you as happy.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
