Sun Peeking out from the Sunset Clouds

This photo was taken last evening on another of my walks to see what that forces of nature will let me see. I've been getting better on timing so I leave during "golden hour" to try to capture the whole palette of colors of the coming time. For this view, I zoomed out as far as I could to see the fine details of the clouds and the sun just peeking from behind one of them. I took many photos of this but I like this one the best.

Saturday Choice

This photo was taken at the end of the haying season, last weekend. This view, across the mown field of hay shows the last bale.  It's now been taken and the fields looks like a back yard, rather than a hay field - pretty, but not very interesting. I'm glad I captured it when I did. I love how the orange of the sunset sky contrasts with the muted green of the field and trees, too. Nature's paint palette is marvelous.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
