Sunset from the Driveway

This photo was taken in the past few weeks. We've  had phenomenal sunsets this spring. Now that the summer season has started, the heat is on and there is a need to be more creative, so I got down low for this photo. The phone did a great job on the depth of the photo and I likehow it came out. No edits on this one.

This photo was taken back when I was a wedding photographer. I guess I still am, and shoot a wedding, on occasion as a favor, for friends. This photo was an experiment to see if I could pull off an idea I had seen in some other wedding photos of the heart from a ring inside a book. I chose the love chapter in the Christian Bible as my book but found very quickly that this wasn't easy with a real wedding ring.  They are too thin to stand up - but a tiny bit of tape works wonders.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
