Sunset Sky and a Line of Trees

Photo of the Day 188/366

I took this photo from a moving car - as can be seen by the blurry foreground. I just manged to  catch the sky with the line of trees fading into the distant  field. As you may know, sunset skies transform so fast and this was not exception, within a minute this was gone. The scene was very fleeting.

Saturday Choice

I took this photo earlier this week. I was trying to move quickly to catch a sunset (the one you see through the porch) - when I saw the farmhouse and the porch and the sun peeking through and grabbed a shot of the scene. I liked the vibe of the photo and the fact that it recalls some faint memories of my youth.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
