Sinking Sun Reflecting
Light into the Clouds

Photo of the Day 191/366

I took this photo a few days ago.  It's a wider view and the sun's light reflecting on the clouds immediately above and then even higher just makes the picture almost glimmer. The reds and blues, I expect in a sunset photo, but the brightness of the clouds was outstanding and really different in this particular sunset.

This photo was taken some years ago when we had our cabin in the mountains. There was a diner nearby that we frequented while on our stays there. One morning, we went in and I saw this table sitting empty by the window and thought about how lonely it looked. That diner was closed dome years ago and we sold our cabin. Things are always changing and nothing stays the same. You've got to roll with the changes or you end up lonely, like this table, watching the world go by.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
