Last Touch of a Saturday Sunset

Photo of the Day 217/366

After a long day helping to host a martial arts symposuim, I was sore and tired.  However, when I looked out our front windows, I saw the last beams of sun and had to "get out there" and try to capture it. It had just rained and cooled off and I managed to make it down to the farm for a few quick snaps. I like what I managed to get.

This shot, from my archives, is one from a business trip I had to New Orleans. These gents were providing entertainment in the convention center and were pretty good. I enjoyed hearing them and snapped a couple of photos before I had to move on.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
