Sunrise Sky over the Creek

Photo of the Day 242/366

The transition from sunsets to sunrises has begun. This was taken on my way to work. Thu sun had actually been up, but the clouds had obscured it and I was able to capture this view on the way in to my office. The gold colors in the sky and the reflections in the creek made for a really nice morning photo. You can see in the water, some geese, which were evident in sound, while I took this photo. They almost seemed to welcome me in.

Thursday Architecture:   This photo was taken from my archives. I like tis view of the skyscrapers in New York City. I remember feeling so small. I'm a relatively short person, but these buildings and in the shadows of these giants, I felt even smaller. But, the buildings are magnificent and, unfortunately, photos to not do the scale justice. They are, in many cases, gigantic and just walking around one will take 15-20 minutes.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
