Autumn Colors by the Creek

Photo of the Day 283/366

I took this photo this past weekend while out on a long afternoon walk. I knew that I wouldn't make it out later, so I went when I could. After crossing a bridge, I noticed this scene down the creek a bit. The colors in the sunlight were just shouting AUTUMN!  I know these color won't last long and where I live, they are just coming on, so I hope to capture many before it passes into the colder months.

Wednesday Nature:  This photo was taken out of my archives. I really can't recall the exact location but I suspect it was near our previous home. Personally, I like ladybugs: how they look, how they're "made", how their wings unfold, and their colors  That is, perhaps, why I took this photo. It is one of the best "bug" photos I've taken.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
