Autumn Sunset Shining over the Fields

I finally got out for a photo walk last evening and was a little disappointed that there were only wisps of clouds in the sky. That should not have surprised me as we had a warm, clear day. However, as we walked, I noticed the sun, just before it set, behind a tree and the way the sunlight lit up the fields and grasses. I grabbed a few frames before the light changed and this was the best shot.

Sunday Street Photography: This photo was taken a couple of years ago on a trip to West Virginia with some friends. We were, obviously, in Davis, and this car, in front of the Town Hall, really caught my eye. There wasn't much going on in Davis during that trip, but it was fun and this car just gave some interest to the place.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
