Another Snowy Sunset

Photo of the Day 8/365

I took this photo last evening on my way home from work. I took it with a new acquisition - a Canon 7D which was, technically, a gift, which I had to embellish with some additional lenses and such. In any case, our snow from the weekend came and will be staying for awhile so I could not pass up yet another snowy sunset. Winter is here, in full force.

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Wednesday Design: I took this photo inside our church. The wall, which holds this window was covered with an building addition, many years ago. On this wall, they decided to leave the windows in place and they allow some light in from the vestibule into the sanctuary. I thought it odd, at first, but it was pretty and I could actually get to it to easily take a photo, so I did.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
