Big Sky Snowy Sunset

Photo of the Day 10/365

I took this photo two days ago on the way home from work. The view of the big - open - sky -was just too much to pass up. The sunsets have been fantastic since the beginning of the year. I'm hoping they continue but I suspect, as much of life, it moves in cycles (or fits and spurts) - and I'll have to use more of my creative brain. But until, I'll just enjoy and attempt to capture, the beauty presented to me.

Friday People: This photo was taken more than a few years ago, when I had a studio and was working with models (and seniors and families) for portrait and portfolio work. It was fun and I both learned much and enjoyed much. This photo actually fools most people. Her foot is not on a window sill, but on the edge of a large light box and the the drapes are backdrop material. I really love the photo and how my vision all came together for it.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
