Backyard View of a Snowstorm

Photo of the Day 20/365

This was our view yesterday, from our carport. The actual view is into our neighbor's yard but I like it nonetheless. We received about7 inches of snow overall. This morning, the sky is blue and the temperature has dropped substantially. It is very pretty today and I hope to get the car moving to get some photos, we'll see.

Monday Fill the Frame: This photo was taken at my Father-in-Law's home. He has a staircase, in wood, that is partially spiraled. I thought the pattern was very interesting where the spiraling was with the hand cut wood. I liked the color, the patterns and the shapes. Overall, I think it's a good fit for today's theme.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
