Early Morning Mist in the Valley

Photo of the Day 51/365

This photo was taken about 9 years ago on a easier going morning than I've had lately. After looking closely at this photo in my archives, I liked it better and better. I did manage to capture laters of mist in the far valley, but if you look closely, it is also evident in the foreground right. The dawn colors drew me in, but the mist and the clouds, and the coming hope of a new dawn drew me in.

Trolley Drive in New Orleans

Friday People: This photo was taken a decade ago on a business trip to New Orleans. My wife and I went to New Orleans earler to catch a few days of vacation and it was so hot and moist (as New Orleans tends to be) and we were on a trolley ride.  At the end of the run, I caught this gent resiting his eyes as folks got off and on th trolley for next run.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
