Sunset Sky and Blue Hills

Photo of the Day 54/365

I took this photo last evening on the way home from a Karate Gasshaku. I was tired but on the drive home, I saw this awesome sunset sky forming and decided to try to find somewhere to capture it. I was struggline because there wasn't anywhere - then with less than 2 miles to go, I remembered a side road with a wide vista view of the west. I was rewarded with this view of the fields, the bright blue hills and a beautiful sunset sky.  Worth the wait!

Sunday Monochrome: This photo was taken from my archives and was taken at my previous residence the afternoon after a snowstorm. We had a bicycle for "decor" and the snow caught us off guard and it was still out. In the warmer months it has flowers in the basket. I just really liked this composition in the square format and a light sepia tone made it great (to me, anyway).

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
