Sunset through the Tree Limbs

This photo was taken last weekend while out on a "sunset walk". I always try to catch the sunset from many different viewpoints. Many are similar but my hope is that the clouds,  or the angle of the sun, or the scenery will make the scene interesting. In this case, I think I managed most of them. The sun was just right through the trees, the sky, while not amazing, was different and the trees seemed to reach up - a nice shot.

Wednesday Design: This photo could be any bridge where the steel girders are exposed. But it wasn't just any bridge, this one is in St. Louis, Missouri - and over the Mississippi River. It was an great time spent with family and a really nice time walking and seeing parts of the town I hadn't seen and ending the day with this view. Couldn't beat it.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
