Just to the Left of Sunrise

Photo of the Day 76/365

I took this photo about a month ago when I could still catch the sunrise before I got to work. I remember wanting to catch the colors in the clouds off to the north of the rising sun. The gold colors of the sunrise are always beautiful, but the pinks and reds deserve attention, too. Add to that the gorgeous blues of this sunrise and the pallette is complete.

Tulips Fill the Air

Monday Fill-the-Frame: I was searching my photo archives for some very particular images when I came across this photo.  It was taken at our previous church when there was a Spring Fundraiser. The ladies were stilling tulips and I was able to get a "portrait" shot of a bunch of red ones in the sancduary. The smelll of spring filled the air.  I hope to once again experience those smells again soon.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
