Sky Waiting for the Sunrise

Photo of the Day 81/365

I took this photo yesterday morning on the way to work. With the change of schedule (Daylight Savings Time), I don't see the sunrise on the way to work. However, this sky beckoned me to take a photo - the colors were just teasing of a nice sunrise and the clouds agreed. I couldn't wait for the actual sunrise, but I did get to enjoy those pre-dawn colors.

Saturday Nature: This photo was, in reality, my first wildlife photo. I took it so long ago - that I may have scanned it from film. I remember how still the fawns were when we stopped the car - I never did see their mama, but we stopped long enough to snap a few pics and then moved on, hoping not to scare them. They were a wonderful sight.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
