Spring Trees and Sunset Sky

As the spring season progresses, the buds and leaves come out in their due time. Some years, it feels like a heartbeat and we're all in the green.  Other years, the green seems to slowly seep out of the trees. This is one of the years when the greens of spring are seeming to slowly eke their way into existence. These trees are in process and the sky was wonderful.

Quiet Place to Sit at the Beach

Tuesday Free Choice: This photo was taken years ago at Cape May. I was never one to "just sit" at the beach. I would either walk for miles or go somewhere else. This was one of the "walk for miles" times and I took this shot of the location where they rented beach equipment (umbrellas, chairs, boards..etc).  I love the colors and the lack of people. It was a warm day and quiet (for that moment).

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
