Sunset at the Endo of the Road

Photo of the Day 90/365

I captured this image over the weekend. I was out for a walk with my youngest and, as usual, I was hoping for a beautiful sunset. On this evening, I was not disapponted. The sky, initially, waa bland but I was hopeful. On our return leg of the walk, I paused to see the sun setting at the end of this road and did my best to capture it. The sky became colorful and glorious at the very end.

Monday Fill-the-Frame: This photo was taken a number of years ago at our previous home. We had flowers planted all over and had a good open, western facing horizon. The light could and did come in the afternoons and I took advantage. This was one of those times. I got down on my belly to get this but it was worth it.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
