Willow and Pond on a Blue Sky Day

My wife decided that we should go for a drive yesterday. She had been out for an errand and when she returned she regaled me with how pretty it was. She was right (as always) and off we went for a couple of hours. This was just one of the scenes we came across. The clouds were small and almost "Toy Story" like but unique in their own way. It was a pretty afternoon jaunt.

Monday Fill-the-Frame: This photo was taken at the Winterthur Museum sometime over the past 2 years. We had driven down for the day and were exploring the property. I came across this bridge and saw the view under it and decided to try to capture the view. It was a chilly day but well worth the trip.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
