Late Afternoon Sky wiht Spotty Clouds

I took this photo earlier in the week. The sky was very clear and I thought I would not be able to get much in the way of a pretty sunset. I was wrong as happens often and this shot proves it. I had to do some editing,because in tough lighting, in order to to make the image what I saw. This image is what I saw, the bright sun, the spotty clouds, and the light still shining on the field.

Thursday Colors: This photo was taken from my archives as I really like the reds and greents. The produce was sitting out on the counter and I saw how the window light was coming across the vegetables (yes, I know, technically tomatoes are a fruit) and decided to try to make an image - this is it.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
