Sun Setting and a Tree in the Rain

At the end of the day, last night, we had seen dark clouds and heard the wind and rain battering our home. However, just at sunset, my wife saw the sunlight streaming into our backyard and said I should take a look. I did so, and decided - you never know if you don't try, so off I went for a walk - this was the result. Uneditied - well, as my iPhone saw it - but it's very close to what I saw.

Wednesday Design: This stairway was part of the outdoor architecture at this DuPont museum and property. Whenever we go to Winterthur, I am amazed at the time and detail spent on almost every aspect of the home and property. The property and museum are both amazing and astounding and I can recommend it to anyone - it is very near to Longwood Gardens (another DuPont property).

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
