Sunset Sky from the Roadside

My wife and I had a free night last evening and we ran some errands, did some shopping, and went out to dinner. After dinner, as we were going to the car, I noted the pinks and oranges in the eastern clouds. I said that there was a nice sunset but that we'd likely miss it. On the way home, we missed the sunset, but not the sky - this photo was taken from the moving car becuase we couldn't stop and even if we did, this only lasted for a few minutes and was gone. Get 'em while you can.

Wednesday Design: This photo was taken on one of our trips to western Pennsylvania. When we go there, one of the highlights is Falling Water - a home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. If you ever go, this is by far, the most famous home, but in that area there are more home of his design to see and I encourage it.As you can see from the waterfalls under that house, thus the name Falling Water.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
