Pastel Lines of Sunset over the Hills

I took this photo earler in the week, on the way home from class.  I had noted earlier (during class) the potentially beautiful sky, but on the way home, it got better. When I was on a side street in our town, I could make out faint clouds over the hills in the distance. I stopped to grab a few shots (right in the middle of the street) and this was the best from that location.

Wednesday Design: I took this photo a few weeks ago while out for breakfast with my wife. The group of gents who were inthe booth had just left, the waitress had cleaned up, and at that moment, the booth was empty. I only could grab two photos before folks sat down again. The place is a neat, old diner that gives me nostalgia for simpler times.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
