Sunset Light at the Farm

Photo of the Day 121/365

This photo, taken earlier this week, shows that you don't need the golden sky to portray the light from the sunset. I loved how the light played off the grasses and the buildings. The colorful, but sparse clouds, add color and interest (at least for me). This image brings back memories of my time living on a farm in my youth.

Thursday Colors: This photo was taken a few years ago on a spring morning at a local lake at State Park. I enjoyed having that lake close and took many photos there. It's not quite as accessible now as it was then, but I still get there. I really do miss the early morning photos on my way to work or sunsets on my way home, but I cna still share the images - this gold is hard to beat for color!

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
