Sunset with Field and Fence

I was out for a business dinner last evening and when we parted ways, I saw the sunset behind the restaurant and decided to take a drive. I noted many back road locations and took a number of photos but this is one of my favorites. The lighting was just right to see the fenc, the field, and, mosit importantly, the beautiful sunset. It had stormed most of the day and this was a wonderful ending to the day.

Wednesday Design: This photo was taken from my archives and was shot when I worked in our state's capitot. I was talking to wokr one morning and decided to walk around the opposite side of the building from the "shortest path" and this view presented itself. On the right are shops and on the left, one of the city's main streets. It was early morning, and I had the place to myself or this would not have turned out.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
