Sunset Clouds over the Field Grass

This photo was taken some time ago and I'm just getting around to posting it. The composition just called out to me and I had to take a photograph of the scene. The bright cloud tops and the golden bottoms along with the sillhouette of the field grass just came together.

Sunday Monochrome: My mom did not like here photo taken and most of what I have were either family gather photos or sneaky,almost street photos. This photo is one of the latter ones. We were in her living room which was usually darkened and she was likely watching what my kids were doing and I was able to capture this. Mom's been gone 5 years now and this is how I remember her.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
