Wispy Sunset Clouds

Photo of the Day 133/365

This photo was taken over the weekend while out for a walk. The sun was too bright for a direct shot so I decided to try to see if I could capture the clouds. The sun was still bright and shining onto the field in the foreground and you can see the sunlight at the right side of the frame. However, the wispy clouds made the shot exceptional. I had to do some editing to make the photo what I saw, but it was worth it.

Tuesday Free Choice: This photo is just shy of twenty years old. I took it on my last trip to San Francisco. I was there for a conference and a friend and I were taking an afternoon and sightseeing. This view is a memorable one as I had never been in the Pacific Ocean and while getting this shot, I experienced the ocean as it went over my feet - like the Atlantic - it's just water....lol

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
