Tree and Sunbeams

Photo of the Day 139/365

This photo was taken from our car window last night on the way home from a wedding. The wedding has been between a couple who have been a blessing to our church and to many lives. I hope that the sunbeams were shining directly on them as their union brings hope. My wife actually took a back road so I could get this shot. I only got two and this was the best one.

Monday Fill-the-Frame: This photo was taken from my archives and was catpured about 10 years ago whie we were touring a historic village. I looked up from one of the buildings and saw this scene. I was intrigued by the colors and the angles. I just liked it and how the scene filled the photo.

Red Tinged Clouds over the Trees Photo of the Day 345/366 I took the photo last week on the way home. It was a wonderful sunset sky and I couldn't pass up taking a number of shots while it was available. These clouds with the red edges from the setting sun were a wonderful sight over these trees just behind the rolling field in the foreground. A nice evening sky for sure.

    Photo of the Day 307/365  Autumn Colors on Display by the Creek This photo was taken last weekend on our mini-vacation. We were on our way home and happened to find a pull-off - in the rain - and I took some photos by this creek. The colors just seemed to pop in the damp drizzly weather but the camera couldn't quite capture the bright colors. I didn't want to over-edit it but this is close to what I experienced that moment.

Tracks into the Sunset Photo of the Day 342/366 This photo was taken last evening on the way home from work. I took a number of photos and could not quite get the sun peeking through  the clouds. This is the closest I got. I love the colors in the sky and the reflections in the railroad tracks. I've taken this scene before, but it always makes me think of life moving on and on, rolling into the sunset of life - as I get older, those thoughts become more frequent.
